About Us

Avondale Christian Church became a fellowship back in 1995 under the pastoral care of Pastor Peter McKenzie. Peter together with the eldership of Selborne Park Christian Church in Bulawayo felt the direction of the Lord to establish a church in Harare, thus a small group began meeting first fortnightly, then over a period of a few months the meetings developed to weekly meetings.

Our first meeting home was that of Martin and Babette Fitzgerald.  In the beginning, a team of 2 would travel from Bulawayo to take the meetings, and drive back to Bulawayo after the Sunday morning service.  As the church began to grow, bigger premises we needed to accommodate the growing numbers, thus we moved into the Avondale School Hall.

As Avondale Christian Church we form part of CTMI (Church Team Ministries International), and organization formed by Miki Hardy and other pastors who had a desire to see different ministries come together to strengthen, equip and help Church Leaders through the message of the Cross and the Grace of God.

Today we are a multi cultural, diverse church comprising people from all walks of life.  Our sole desire to see Christians grow up into the image of Jesus Christ, and we know that this will come through the preaching of the Cross of Jesus Christ.  We truly believe that church the family of God, where all are welcome.

We therefore invite you to come and fellowship with us every Sunday at 0930hrs at the Avondale Primary School Beit Hall.  God is doing supernatural things in our lives.
